Heat pump water heaters (HPWH) are one of the key technologies to save this troubled little planet of ours. They are 3–6 times more efficient than other water heaters, save hundreds of dollars on utility bills and 1 ton of CO2 every year compared to water heaters that burn fossil fuels.

That’s why at the nonprofit-led Advanced Water Heating Initiative we’re teaming up with 12 HPWH manufacturers to offer two HPWH 101 virtual trainings for Earth Day.

We’re splitting the manufacturers up: six will present on April 21 and six will present on April 22. All of this will be virtual, free, and open to all. We’re especially looking for installers and homeowners looking to get a HPWH to join the call and check out the many brands and types of heat pump water heaters available.

We’ll do a general overview of HPWHs and then each manufacturer will talk about their particular machine (and why it’s awesome). Attendees will learn best practices for HPWH installation, key differences between heat pump water heaters and standard water heaters, and much more.

Come geek out with us on this great technology that creates steamy showers and saves money on utility bills! Trainings start bright and early at 8AM Eastern!
