The Legend Of Zelda: Why A Voiced Link Wouldn't Break The Series, According To Psychological Research
Ask any Zelda fan if they’d be okay with giving Link a voice in the next game, and you’ll probably get quite an emotional reaction. I’ll admit that it would be a weird choice for a character who has been silent for almost forty years to suddenly turn into a chatterbox. The Link in our heads has been the same Link for all that time - not canonically, but that’s neither here nor there - so the thought of someone being chosen to give him a voice feels a sin.
