Paralives roadmap for early access – seasons, gardening, weather, pets, and more upcoming content
Indie life sim Paralives may still be in early access, but it’s already shaping up to be a strong competitor to The Sims – especially if the Paralives roadmap for early access is anything to go by. While the developer revealed ahead of the game's early access launch that it is prioritizing hotfixes between June and September 2026, Paralives is due to receive its first major update in Q4 2026, with later major updates (to be released between 2026 and 2028) to add pools, pets, weather, seasons, and more. And that appears to be just the tip of the iceberg.
The game already features an extensive list of Paralives cheats, the ability to upgrade Paralives personalities, various ways to earn Paralives money, and a detailed, quirky world full of locations to explore, the Paralives Studio team has a host of new content, major updates, and more planned for the next two years.
According to the official Paralives roadmap, which outlines the team’s current early access development plans, Paralives Studio has ambitious plans for its life sim, with upcoming content to include social events, houseboats, garages, and the ability to use cars and bikes. Below, we break down the highlights from Paralives early access road map.
Keep in mind that the Paralives Studio team consists of only 15 developers at the time of writing and, as with any roadmap, content plans are subject to change.
Paralives early access roadmap
The Paralives roadmap, which you can view in more detail on the official site, offers an excellent insight into what Paralives Studio has planned for the game’s early access release. While there are no timings for exactly when these updates and new content will roll out, we do know it’ll be between 2026 and 2028.
Let’s start with the developer’s exciting plans for Live mode, which include some welcome improvements to day-to-day Para life, such as the ability to store leftovers in the fridge or chat with Paras on the phone (or online), improvements to the in-game shops and what they sell, the addition of more town activities, and the addition of a sexual orientation and preference system.
However, what’s particularly piqued our interest is the addition of The Sims-like features, including social events (weddings, birthday parties, etc), weather, seasons, a family tree menu, gardening, the ability to use cars and bikes, and pet gameplay. There’s also something called “secrets and more” that has us curious.
Like Live mode, the studio has plenty planned for Build mode, including the addition of a basic pond and lake tool, pools, more objects, furniture, and decoration, a tool to create new worlds, garages and parking spaces, and houseboats. Outside of this, much of what’s planned for this mode appears to focus on refining and improving build tools.

Paramaker is also set to receive several updates and new features, including a voice pitch slider, a wider array of clothing items, hairstyles, and accessories, plus the ability to create dogs, cats, and horses.
Paralives Studio is certainly ambitious in its plans, but if the developer manages to pull even some of them off, Paralives has the potential to rival The Sims in a serious way.
