Netflix’s Jinny Howe To Keynote At Banff Media Festival
Jinny Howe, Netflix’s Head of U.S. and Canada Scripted Series, will keynote at the Banff Media Festival.
She has been named the first keynote speaker at the Banff Summit Series, which is part of the 47th Banff Media Festival taking place June 14-17 at the Fairmont Banff Springs in Alberta, Canada.
Howe joined Netflix in 2018 and overseen a string of high-profile series such as Beef, Bridgerton and Inventing Anna. She has also played key roles in the development of series such as The Night Agent, The Diplomat and The Lincoln Lawyer.
She was promoted to her current role in August last year, replacing Peter Friedlander, who has subsequently joined Amazon MGM Studios. A rising star at Netflix, that was her fourth promotion in four years.

The Bandd Summit Series is a curated series of keynotes that are future-facing, and additional speakers will be announced in coming weeks, the fest said. Past speakers have included Chuck Lorre, Anjali Sud, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Paula Kerger, Rob Wade, Pearlena Igbokwe, Bela Bajaria, Keith Le Goy, Ted Sarandos and Maverick Carter.
