Xbox Is Back, But What Does That Mean For Gamers Like You?

Following the shock retirement of long-running boss Phil Spencer, Xbox has wasted no time pursuing a rebranding under the leadership of newcomer Asha Sharma. It currently lags behind Nintendo and PlayStation at every turn, while a number of high-profile studio acquisitions made during the previous console generation are either yet to bear fruit or have heavily underwhelmed, or else have proven far more costly than they were worth. It seems Game Pass isn’t the golden goose of player retention that was once promised years ago either, leaving the green gaming giant between a rock and a hard place.
