A 24-year-old woman lost her life in a collision involving a road roller near the village of Nowa Karczma in Pomeranian Voivodeship. The operator of the heavy machinery lost control of the vehicle while descending a slope, struck a parked automobile, and subsequently hit a fence structure that fatally injured the victim. Despite resuscitation efforts initiated at the scene, the woman succumbed to her injuries.

The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. near Provincial Road 266 on the stretch between Nowa Karczma and Skrzydłówko, prompting officers from the Kościerzyna Police Headquarters to respond to the emergency call.

According to police findings, the accident was triggered when the 38-year-old operator of the road roller lost control of the vehicle while traveling downhill. The out-of-control roller subsequently collided with a parked Volkswagen Passat, followed by impact with a small structure and a metal fence barrier.
