Despite signs of progress, uncertainty still surrounds a possible agreement between Washington and Tehran, with both sides signalling caution over the terms of any final deal. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sunday that negotiations were still a “work in progress”, though his comments suggested growing confidence that a breakthrough could eventually be reached.
