President Ilham Aliyev says Azerbaijan’s post-conflict reconstruction experience offers lessons in urban planning, infrastructure development and the creation of smart communities from the ground up.
Speaking at WUF13, President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan has developed a unique model for post-conflict reconstruction through large-scale investment in infrastructure, housing and smart settlements. Roads, railways, schools, hospitals and energy networks are being rebuilt simultaneously across formerly conflict-affected areas.
He said the experience could provide valuable lessons for countries facing similar challenges. The president also highlighted the role of sustainable urban planning in balancing modernisation with the preservation of cultural and architectural heritage.
