Watch: Elderly woman rescued by robot from Ukraine's frontline

Footage shared by Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps showed the moment an elderly woman trying to leave her wrecked village was rescued by a robot.

The Ukrainian army spotted the woman using a drone and sent the machine to her rescue.

Drone footage released on Saturday showed a robot with the words "grandma, sit down" approaching the woman.

"I thought I wouldn't make it and didn't have the strength," Antonina Horuzha told BBC correspondent Jessica Parker.

Ground drones have played a key role in rescuing or supplying soldiers from Ukraine's frontlines.
