War update: 257 combat clashes with on front line over past day

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook in its update on the situation as of 08:00 on May 15.

The enemy launched one missile strike using 55 missiles, as well as 95 airstrikes, dropping 323 guided aerial bombs.

In addition, the Russian army deployed 8,517 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,884 shelling attacks, including 82 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian forces conducted airstrikes, particularly in the areas of Fotovyzh, Pustohorod, Budky, and Vorozhba in the Sumy region.

Ukraine's Air Force, missile troops, and artillery struck two areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, as well as another important Russian military target.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the aggressor carried out three airstrikes using seven guided bombs, conducted 97 shelling attacks, including 12 with MLRS systems. Seven enemy assault actions were recorded.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attacked 14 times near Vovchanski Khutory, Lyman, Starytsia, and toward Ternove, Radkivka, and Izbytske.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched four attacks near Kurylivka, Novoplatonivka, and Pishchane.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attempted eight times to break through near Drobysheve, Ozerne, Yampil, Dibrova, and Stavky.

In the Sloviansk sector, the invaders twice attempted to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack near Pryvillia.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 28 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, and Novopavlivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces stopped 39 assault actions by the aggressor near Nove Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachne, Molodetske, and toward Bilytske, Vasylivka, and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked three times toward Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, and Novohryhorivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders carried out 25 attacks near Nove Zaporizhzhia, Zlahoda, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Hirke, and Huliaipilske.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces stopped three enemy attempts to advance near Shcherbaky and Plavni.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces carried out three attacks toward Antonivka but achieved no success.

No signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Russia's total combat losses in the war against Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to May 15, 2026, amount to approximately 1,346,390 personnel.
