War update: 149 combat clashes over past day

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook as of 08:00 on April 26.

The enemy carried out two missile strikes using 50 missiles and 66 airstrikes, dropping 203 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces deployed 9,658 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,206 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, including 28 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Airstrikes targeted, among other areas, Rozivka and Oleksandrivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as numerous settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, including Verkhnia Tersa, Kopani, Shyroke, Hirske, Samilivka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Novoselivka, Lisne, Rivne, Vozdvyzhivka, Zarichne, Zaporozhets, and Tavriiske.

Ukraine's aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck seven areas of concentration of enemy personnel, three UAV control points, a command and observation post, two artillery systems, and one multiple launch rocket system.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the enemy launched three attacks on Ukrainian positions, carried out 95 shellings (three using MLRS), and conducted six airstrikes with 12 guided bombs.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy launched eight assaults near Starytsia, Veterynarne, Prylipka, Synelnykove, Zemlianky, and Zybyne.

In the Kupiansk direction, the aggressor carried out eight attacks near Petropavlivka, Radkivka, Novoosynove, Kupiansk, and Kucherivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled nine attempts by the enemy to advance near Dibrova, Lyman, Novyi Myr, Stavky, and Serednie.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped three enemy attempts to advance near Rai-Oleksandrivka, Ozerne, and Yampil.

In the Kramatorsk direction, no attacks were recorded.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 13 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Predtechyne, and Illinivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces stopped 34 assault actions near Novopavlivka, Zatyshok, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Bilytske, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, and Novopidhrodne.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy conducted six attacks near Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Vorone, Ternove, and Zlahoda.

In the Huliaipole direction, 18 attacks took place near Staroukrainka, Huliaipole, Zelene, Sviatopetrivka, Huliaipilske, and Charivne, as well as toward Kopani and Novoselivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, no attacks were recorded..

In the Prydniprovske direction, Ukrainian units repelled four enemy attacks near Bilohrudyi Island and the Antonivskyi Bridge.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

As Ukrinform previously reported, total Russian combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, through April 26, 2026, amount to approximately 1,325,650 personnel, including 960 over the past day.
