Want to attend Trump ‘VIP’ crypto event? Tickets now going for 80 percent off

The Independent — World Katie Hawkinson 1 переглядів 3 хв читання

The price of admission to a VIP event for President Donald Trump’s meme coin investors has dropped significantly compared to last year, a new report revealed.

The top 297 $TRUMP meme coin holders have been invited to Mar-a-Lago this weekend for a “Crypto and Business Conference,” which is expected to feature remarks from Trump, boxer Mike Tyson and author Tony Robbins, among others, according to the event’s website.

The “top 29 qualifying VIPs” will also receive invites to a “VIP reception” with the president, the website states. However, a new analysis from the Financial Times found the price to attend that VIP reception has fallen more than 80 percent compared to last year’s event.

Those who secured VIP tickets this year held a median of $539,000 of $TRUMP, which is down from $3,280,000 million last year, the analysis revealed. This drop suggests traders could be losing interest in the coin, according to the newspaper.

The president is expected to speak at the conference Saturday afternoon before returning to Washington, D.C., for the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner that evening, according to his public schedule.

A White House official described the event as a personal conference that Trump is attending in a personal capacity.

Earlier this month, three Senate Democrats sent a letter to Bill Zanker of Fight Fight Fight LLC, which is organizing the event, requesting more information about Trump’s role in “planning, promoting, and profiting off of the conference.”

The lawmakers said it’s essential that Congress “fully understand the extent to which President Trump and his family are profiting off of his cryptocurrency ventures.”

“President Trump only acts in the best interests of the American public – which is why they overwhelmingly re-elected him to this office, despite years of lies and false accusations against him and his businesses from the fake news media,” White House spokesperson Davis Ingle told The Independent when asked about the conference and letter.

The Independent has requested comment from the conference’s organizers.

Trump launched the meme coin shortly before his inauguration in January 2025. At first, the coin’s value rose to more than $44, but it fell soon afterward, ABC News reports.

Trump also spoke at a black-tie gala for his meme coin’s top investors last May at his Virginia golf club. The event boosted the coin’s value for a brief time, but it later fell again — and at one point last month, its value dropped below $3, according to ABC News.

The Trump family is also linked to other cryptocurrency ventures, including World Liberty Financial, which is facing fraud allegations from billionaire Justin Sun. He filed a lawsuit against the company earlier this week and alleged it’s on the “verge of collapse.”

World Liberty Financial co-founder and CEO Zach Witkoff responded with a social media post calling Sun’s claims “entirely meritless.” Witkoff founded the organization alongside members of Trump’s family, including his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.
