ShareUS Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-Deremer has resigned amid misconduct allegations, as a months-long investigation into claims involving her and senior aides nears its conclusion. The probe stems from a whistleblower’s accusations of professional misconduct, including an alleged affair with a member of her security team and the use of department resources for personal travel. The White House says her deputy will serve as acting secretary in the meantime. Ellen Gainsford takes a look.
