Ukraine launches reciprocal strikes against Russia’s energy sector, says Zelensky
According to a Ukrinform correspondent, President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement during a conversation with journalists.
“Regarding our responses to Russian strikes on the energy sector: They are certainly reciprocal. We are targeting what hurts Russia, and it hurts them deeply. We are seeing the results. Today, their losses are already in the tens of billions, and these are critical losses for Russia,” the president said.
He noted that the war in Iran has helped Russia earn some money from energy resources, but it is not enough to offset its deficit.
According to him, Ukraine will continue to respond to Russian strikes, particularly against facilities that support energy production and weapons manufacturing.
“I have received data from our intelligence services. We understand that they are suffering because of this. And this is one way to put pressure on Russia,” Zelensky emphasized.
