Ukraine, Germany working on six joint weapons production projects – Zelensky

The development of six joint weapons production projects, the signing of a long-term Drone Deal, and support for Ukraine’s air defense and energy sectors were the key topics discussed during a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

The Ukrainian President announced this during their meeting in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“From the very beginning of Russian aggression, from the very start of the full-scale war, you have supported us – with a total of €28.6 billion in military assistance alone. Thank you for your strong support this year as well. I am very pleased that we have begun working on joint production between our countries. I believe this is a real and significant step forward. We can already count on six projects, but I think this is only the beginning of our cooperation in miltech,” Zelensky said.

He also noted that an important topic of discussion was the signing of a 10-year Drone Deal between Ukraine and Germany.

Separately, Zelensky thanked Germany for the agreement on supporting Ukraine’s air defense system, signed during his visit to Germany last month.
