Trump claims ‘most’ Iranians have same first name: ‘Muhammad something’

President Donald Trump has claimed “most” Iranians have the same first name.

Trump’s comment was made during a Fox News interview that aired Friday evening, in which he talked about the U.S. Space Force’s ability to surveil Iranian nuclear sites.

“Space Force, which I created, has got cameras — nine different cameras — in space on that site,” he told Special Report host Bret Baier during his trip to China this week.

“We know everybody that moves there. We can read the name of a person. If his name is Muhammad something — and most of ’em are Muhammad, you can guess about 50 percent right — we can read his name right on his tag from space,” Trump added.

Muhammad is the most popular name in the world, according to the parenting site the Bump.

When the Iran war started at the end of February, Trump said Iran posed an imminent threat to Americans due to its nuclear ambitions.

He has been adamant that Tehran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon and insisted any peace deal between the two countries must guarantee that.

Trump said Iran doesn’t have the capability of getting what he calls the “nuclear dust,” which is all that remains after U.S. strikes, “because it was so obliterated.”

The term “nuclear dust” refers to the near-bomb-grade uranium stored typically as a gas in canisters buried from the strikes last summer, according to The New York Times.

In another Fox News interview that aired Thursday night, Trump praised Chinese President Xi Jinping’s looks.

“If you went to Hollywood and you look for a leader of China, to play a role in a movie, he’s central casting. You couldn't find a guy like him,” he told host Sean Hannity.

“Even his physical features — he's tall, very tall, and especially for this country, because they tend to be a little bit shorter,” he added.

Trump got back from his trip to China Friday after taking part in high-stakes talks with Xi.

During his interview with Hannity, Trump said Xi told him he “would like to be of help” in negotiating a peace deal to end the war.

“He’d like to see the Hormuz Strait open,” Trump said of Xi. China is the main buyer of Iranian oil.

Iran effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil passageway, in retaliation for the U.S. and Israel launching strikes against its country. The U.S. subsequently imposed a naval blockade of Iranian ports.
