Several signs indicate a reduction in the enemy's offensive capabilities — decreased use of weapons and a slowdown in forward movement despite a high number of attacks.

This was stated during a television broadcast by Viktor Trehubov, head of communications for the Joint Forces Grouping, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

"First of all, the use of various means of attack is decreasing. Secondly, if we observe the ratio between attacks and any successful actions, simply measuring them by the territories the enemy managed to occupy, this coefficient has been dropping very sharply recently. I still don't know what it will be during this offensive, but it is possible that it will approach zero or even negative numbers. This is because although the enemy is advancing in some sectors, in others they are now being forced to retreat. Therefore, the result may be completely different from what they are currently expecting," Trehubov explained.

He added that during the spring offensive, Russian forces have been unsuccessfully trying to advance in the Lyman and Kupiansk directions, while in the Velykyi Burluk direction they are already retreating.

Commenting on the situation on the left bank of the Oskil River, the spokesman said that the Defense Forces face certain problems with logistics and personnel, but the enemy has failed to create a critical situation in this section of the front.

"Overall, I would say that despite the fact that the left bank is a hot zone right now, the critical threats the Russians wanted to create there have not materialized," Trehubov said.

He added that the enemy has been pushed back from the right bank of the Oskil River and currently has no opportunity to enter Holubivka.

"Now they [the occupiers] are no longer even trying to enter Kupiansk through Holubivka, but are instead trying at least to gain a foothold on the northern outskirts of Holubivka itself," Trehubov explained.

Answering a question about where Russians are currently most actively probing the northern border, Trehubov noted that this primarily concerns the Sumy region.

"If we are talking about the northern border, I would say that in our area of responsibility it is mainly the Sumy region on the one hand, and also fairly active in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction. But this is less about the border itself and more about the area around Vovchansk directly. There is constant intensity there, constant attempts to apply pressure. But fortunately, despite their reports, without much success," Trehubov noted.

As Ukrinform reported, 317 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front line over the past day, May 27.
