the breakdown

  • It celebrates the brand’s 10th anniversary and showcases a new direction in design and engineering.
  • The sporty grand tourer features dramatic proportions, adaptive aerodynamics, and a tech-focused interior.
  • It targets extreme performance, with a 0-62 mph time of around 2.0 seconds.

At the Beijing Auto Show, Chinese automaker Lynk & Co unveiled its first supercar concept: the GT. The sporty concept car is packed with advanced technology and bold design ideas—and it could eventually make it to production.

Marking the brand’s 10th anniversary, the prototype also offers a glimpse into the next chapter in both design and engineering direction for the Chinese automaker. The GT concept has the proportions of a modern grand tourer, measuring 188.2 inches long, 78.7 inches wide, and just 52.4 inches tall. Its 108.3-inch wheelbase gives it a low, muscular stance.

The GT’s exterior focuses on light-reactive surfaces that appear to shift as you move around the car. The Apex Blue paint features a liquid-metal effect that adds depth, while Spark Yellow accents provide a sharp contrast.

Striking Design & Performance

Inside, Lynk & Co uses a 2+2 seating layout that blends premium materials with technical details. White "Digital Shimmer" leather creates a bright, modern feel, while hand-finished Textreme 360 carbon fiber reinforces its motorsport-inspired character.

One of the most distinctive features is the "+" button on the center console. When activated, it changes the car’s setup: the suspension drops by 0.6 inches, aerodynamic elements extend at the front and rear—adding 3.9 inches to the overall length—and the rear wing deploys to increase downforce.

Mechanically, the GT concept is rear-wheel drive and built on a chassis influenced by racing, supported by an AI-based motion control system. The performance targets are impressive, with a claimed 0-62 mph time of around 2.0 seconds, signaling a strong focus on extreme performance.

The project was developed jointly by Lynk & Co’s European and Chinese teams, with a significant influence from Swedish design, which remains central to the brand’s identity. The company also received input from a global community of more than 1.7 million users, which helped shape the design and could even yield a real production version in the near future—with enough positive feedback.

Motor1's Take: This is a stunning concept car. Whether or not the Lynk & Co GT actually makes it to production, the concept will at least help shape the design and performance of the Chinese automaker’s future products.
