Thirteen civilians injured in Sumy region due to Russian attacks over past day
Thirteen civilians were injured in the Sumy region over the past day as a result of Russian aggression.

According to Ukrinform, the Police of Sumy Region reported this on Telegram.

Russian forces shelled 41 settlements across the region during the past 24 hours, the statement said.

“In the Kyrykivka community, a 63-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman were injured after an enemy drone struck a vehicle. In the Sumy community, a 21-year-old woman and six men were injured as a result of attacks by Russian drones,” the report said.

According to the police, there were also casualties in the Velyka Pysarivka community, where a 47-year-old woman was injured, and in the Bilopillia community, where three men were wounded. All sustained injuries in enemy drone attacks.

Russian shelling also damaged apartment buildings, private homes, outbuildings, a store, cars, a motorcycle, a combine harvester, and a hangar across the region.

Police investigative teams and explosives experts worked at the attack sites.

Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning war crimes. The investigation is ongoing.

As previously reported, one person was killed and 15 others injured in Russian attacks on the Sumy region on May 21.
