Link and Zelda’s journey from game consoles to the big screen is getting fast-tracked with Nintendo moving up the live-action adaptation’s release date.

On Wednesday, Nintendo exec and The Legend of Zelda co-creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced that the upcoming Sony Pictures title’s theatrical premiere is moving up May 7 to April 30, 2027.

“This is Miyamoto. I would like to let you know that the worldwide theatrical release date for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda has been moved up to April 30, 2027, from May 7,” he announced on X. “The team is working hard to deliver the film to everyone as soon as possible.
