Subnautica 2 release countdown

Subnautica 2 goes live in early access on Thursday, May 14. The following countdown will expire once the game is available worldwide.

The countdown above is based on the following times. The exact time of launch will vary based on your location.

What to expect from Subnautica 2

Subnautica 2 is set in an all-new underwater world, as you find yourself in the depths of Alterra. Your colony ship CICADA has left you stranded, and you need to continue your journey to find a new home.

You get a single-player experience that will also support 4-player co-op. You'll need to adapt to withstand the depths of the ocean. Use your tools to explore the different corners, and get resources to build your base.

While you get all your important items from the ocean, it's filled with its own set of horrors, just like the first game. From tiny creatures to gigantic Leviathans, Alterra's ocean has everything. Since Subnautica 2 will be out on early access, there may be limited features, tools, and exploration opportunities. Those elements will expand gradually as Unknown Worlds Entertainment pushes out post-launch patches.
