Something that completely caught me off guard in Baldur's Gate 3 was how Gale reacted when I started bumping uglies with other people in the camp — I thought we were a poly troupe of worm-brained adventurers enjoying what little morsel of life we had left before the Absolute crawled out from our skulls and turned us into big tentacle monsters. And yet, when I slept with Shadowheart, he lost his mind.
