Jaz Sinclair Expresses Heartfelt Gratitude Following 'Gen V' Cancellation

The lead actress of the Prime Video spinoff took to social media to thank fans and reflect on her experience with the show after its unexpected closure last week.

Following the cancellation of 'Gen V', a spinoff series based on 'The Boys' universe, star Jaz Sinclair shared an emotional message with her audience through Instagram. In her post, the actress conveyed her appreciation, stating: "There's so much I wanna (and will) say, but for today I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm so happy you're here, and I'm so grateful for this incredible experience."

Sinclair portrayed Marie Moreau in the series—a formidable superhero with the ability to control blood and manipulate muscle tissue. Throughout the show's narrative, her character embarked on a mission to reveal secrets surrounding Godolkin University. By the end of Season 2, Moreau had joined forces with the Starlighter resistance movement against the antagonist Homelander, portrayed by Antony Starr.

Series Continuation Plans Announced

In response to the cancellation, executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg issued a statement: "While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we're committed to continuing the 'Gen V' characters' stories in 'The Boys' Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. You'll see them again."

According to insider reports, characters originating from 'Gen V' will make appearances in forthcoming episodes of the fifth and final season of 'The Boys'. The parent series is set to conclude with this upcoming installment.

Show History and Cast

'Gen V' originally debuted in 2023, with its second season running between September and October 2025. The series was set at Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, where young superheroes trained for the possibility of eventually joining The Seven.

The ensemble cast featured Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Hamish Linklater.

Future Universe Projects

As 'The Boys' concludes with its current season, the prequel series 'Vought Rising' remains the only other active project within the franchise. This series will chronicle the story of Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, and Stormfront, portrayed by Aya Cash, during the 1950s. The prequel is anticipated to premiere in 2027.
