Shelling causes new power outages in three regions, says Ukrenergo
According to Ukrinform, the NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
"As a result of this morning’s drone attack, the situation in the Sumy region is the most critical. Many users in the region remain without power due to enemy strikes on energy infrastructure facilities. As of this morning, there are also new power outages due to shelling in the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions. Emergency repair work is currently being carried out where safety conditions permit," the statement reads.
Due to damage to overhead power lines caused by strong gusts of wind, 100 settlements in Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kherson, and Kyiv regions remain fully or partially without power. Repair crews from regional power companies continue to restore power to customers.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, electricity consumption was at the same level as the previous day. Ukrenergo advises shifting active electricity consumption to the period when solar power plants are most productive, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
