The foul-mouthed teddy bear wants an Emmy.
Peacock has submitted “Ted” across 19 categories at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Variety has learned exclusively, mounting one of the streamer’s most expansive comedy campaigns to date for the Seth MacFarlane-led series following a record-setting second season.
The push lands MacFarlane on this year’s Emmy ballot in six distinct capacities. On “Ted,” he is submitted as an executive producer, a writer and in outstanding character voice-over performance for his work as the title teddy bear. In addition, he also carries an executive producer credit on Peacock’s Keke Palmer-led comedy “The ‘Burbs,” along with both an executive producer credit and a voice performer submission for Fox’s long-running animated series “Family Guy.”
