Search For New James Bond Takes Next Steps As Nina Gold Closes Deal As Casting Director
The search for who will play James Bond has taken an important step as sources have confirmed to Deadline that Nina Gold has closed a deal to become the casting director for the next 007 film. Gold will work with director Denis Villeneuve and producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman in finding that next actor to play the famous MI6 spy over the coming weeks and months.
Amazon MGM Studios on Thursday released a statement on its social media platforms informing fans of this latest update.

While this marks an important first step in finding the actor to play Bond, sources tell Deadline that full-on auditions are still a beat away as Villeneuve and writer Steven Knight put the final touches on the script.
Gold is considered one of the industry’s best casting directors and her track record backs that up. The list of shows and movies she has worked on over the years includes HBO’s Game of Thrones, the Netflix series The Crown as well as five films in the Star Wars franchise.
