Russian strikes on Sumy region leave one person killed, four others injured

This was reported by the communications department of the regional police, according to Ukrinform.

The affected areas included Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka, and Konotop districts. Russian forces used guided aerial bombs (GAB), attack drones, artillery, and mortars.

In the Shostka community, a woman was killed, while a private house and a warehouse were destroyed by fire.

In the Yampil community, four people were injured in GAB strikes: women aged 78 and 75, and men aged 74 and 56. A kindergarten, 14 apartment buildings, two shops, and six vehicles were damaged.

In the Sumy community, damage was reported to 15 trucks, seven cars, two buses, a car wash building, and a gas distribution facility.

Police and explosive ordnance disposal units worked at the scenes, documenting the aftermath of the attacks and collecting evidence of Russian war crimes. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in each case.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, in the Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy, a Russian drone strike damaged 15 trucks and two buses.
