Russian forces intensify pressure on Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors, 57 attacks recorded since day starts

Russian forces have carried out 57 attacks on Ukrainian positions since the beginning of the day, with the heaviest pressure concentrated on the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors.

The information was published on Facebook by the General Staff, with operational data as of 16:00 on Tuesday, May 12, as reported by Ukrinform.

Russian troops also shelled border areas, hitting multiple settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces carried out three airstrikes using nine guided aerial bombs, 31 attacks on settlements and Ukrainian positions, including three from multiple launch rocket systems. One assault action was recorded.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops attempted four advances near Starytsia, Kolodiazne, and Kruhle, with two assaults still ongoing.

No assault operations were recorded in the Kupiansk sector.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched three attacks toward Stavky and Ozerne, with two still ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops attempted to improve their positions toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.

No active offensive actions were reported in the Kramatorsk sector.

The most intense fighting was reported in the Kostiantynivka sector, where Russian forces conducted 19 assaults toward Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka, Nove Shakhove, Vilne, and Kucheriv Yar. Four of these attacks are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops attempted 18 assaults toward Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Vasylivka, Udachne, Muravka, and Molodetske, with three ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, eight assaults were recorded near Zlahoda, Vozdvyzhivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Chervone, Tsvitkove, and Staroukrainka, with one still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces conducted three attacks toward Mali Shcherbaky and Stepove.

No assault actions were recorded in the Prydniprovske sector.

The General Staff stated that there were no significant changes on other fronts and no confirmed attempts by Russian forces to advance.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, operators of Ukraine’s 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck Russian radar systems P-18 and PRV-16, a fuel and lubricants depot, an ammunition storage site, and temporary deployment points in the Donetsk region.
