Russian forces attempting to advance and entrench near Hryshyne and Rodynske – military

The situation has escalated in the area of the settlements of Hryshyne and Rodynske in the Donetsk region, where Russian forces are attempting to develop their offensive and establish positions. However, Ukrainian units are holding their positions and inflicting losses on the enemy.

This was reported in a comment to Ukrinform by Major Hryhorii Shapoval, Spokesperson for the Operation Task Force East.

“The situation is worsening in the area of Hryshyne and Rodynske,” he said.

According to the spokesperson, the enemy is attempting to advance and entrench itself.

“Our units are holding designated lines and inflicting significant losses on enemy assault groups,” Shapoval emphasized.

As reported, 241 combat engagements between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded on April 26. The enemy was most active in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 55 assault attempts by Russian forces.
