Russian attacks kill between 70 and 100 civilians in Ukraine every week – Interior Minister
Between 70 and 100 civilians are killed in Ukraine every week as a result of Russian strikes.

This was stated by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko during the 4th International Summit of Cities and Regions, “Partnership. Resilience. Readiness,” according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“The main thing we must talk about is preserving the lives and health of our people and our children. Every week we lose between 70 and 100 civilian citizens. They are killed as a result of drone attacks, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aerial bombs,” Klymenko said.

The minister stressed that ensuring security in local communities remains a pressing challenge for the authorities. He recalled that information about the availability, condition, and distance to the nearest shelter is displayed in the Diia app.

In addition, the Interior Ministry chief noted that Ukraine has updated its state construction standards, under which developers are now required to include shelters when designing residential buildings and infrastructure facilities. According to him, developing such a network is critically important, especially for border communities.

Klymenko also thanked international partners for helping strengthen Ukraine’s security capabilities.
