The building of the Azerbaijani Embassy was damaged during the Russian army’s overnight attack on Kyiv on May 24.

According to Ukrinform, Report stated this in an article.

Azerbaijani media outlets write that several Russian missiles launched toward the Shevchenkivskyi district, where the diplomatic mission is located, landed near the embassy building, causing windows to be shattered by the blast wave.

It is noted that the Azerbaijani Embassy building in Kyiv has already been damaged several times as a result of Russian airstrikes. The last similar incident occurred on the night of November 14, 2025. Following that attack, Russian Ambassador to Baku Mikhail Yevdokimov was summoned to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry and handed a note of protest.

As Ukrinform previously reported, the residence of the Albanian ambassador was also damaged during Russia’s attack on Kyiv overnight into Sunday. Albanian Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha called Russia’s actions "unacceptable" and stated that the Russian ambassador to Albania had been summoned to provide explanations.

In addition, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry building sustained minor damage due to explosions nearby during Russia’s attack on Ukraine on the night of May 24.

Overall, during the massive Russian air assault overnight on May 24, missile strikes and falling debris were recorded in various districts of Kyiv, sparking fires. Earlier reports stated that two people were killed and 69 injured.
