Russian army loses 1,110 troops in war against Ukraine over past 24 hours

Total combat losses among Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to May 24, 2026, amount to approximately 1,355,920 personnel, including 1,110 over the past 24 hours. 

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

The Russian military has also lost 11,950 (+1) tanks, 24,603 (+4) armored fighting vehicles, 42,640 (+61) artillery systems, 1,800 (+1) multiple launch rocket systems, 1,396 (+2) air defense systems, aircraft – 436, helicopters – 353, ground-based robotic systems – 1,451 (+7), tactical-level UAVs – 308,321 (+1,843), cruise missiles – 4,632, ships/boats – 33, submarines – 2, vehicles and tankers – 98,698 (+292), and specialized equipment – 4,216 (+4).

As Ukrinform reported, as of 22:00 on May 23, there had been 173 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders on the front lines.
