Netflix's 'Running Point' Honors Teen Volleyball Star Niko Mijailovic in Season 2 Tribute

The streaming platform's basketball comedy series has returned for its second season with a poignant remembrance. The third episode, which premiered on April 23, features a dedication card reading "In Loving Memory of #6 Niko Mijailovic."

The tribute honors a 15-year-old Los Angeles resident who tragically lost his life in an accident while being collected from school one year ago. At the time of his death, Mijailovic was completing his eighth-grade studies at the prestigious Campbell Hall private institution, where he also served as a standout varsity volleyball athlete wearing the number 6 jersey.

During the teenager's memorial service, family members revealed that the final program they watched together as a household was the inaugural season of Running Point.
