Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is in “critical condition” at a hospital, his spokesman said Sunday.
“Mayor Rudy Giuliani is currently in the hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition,” Ted Goodman posted on X. “Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and he’s fighting with that same level of strength as we speak. We do ask that you join us in prayer for America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani.”

On Friday night, Giuliani reportedly hosted his online show America’s Mayor Live from Palm Beach, Florida. “My voice is a little under the weather, so I won’t be able to speak as loudly as I usually do, but I’ll get closer to the microphone,” he said on the show.
Giuliani, 81, was involved in car crash last summer, resulting in a fractured vertebra. In September, he was seen in a wheelchair and wearing a chest brace at a 9/11 memorial service
He became mayor of New York in 1994, serving through 2001, including during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, leading the city through the tragedy.
Giuliani later served as a personal lawyer to President Donald Trump, during which time he became involved in several investigations. He also supported Trump’s claim that the latter won the 2020 presidential election, not Joe Biden, and he was later indicted and sued over those claims. He has since been disbarred.
Also prior to that election, Giuliani became the subject of controversy over an appearance in Borat 2. In a bedroom scene from the movie, he was allegedly caught in a compromising situation with his hand down his pants.
In 2022, he appeared as a contestant on The Masked Singer. When he revealed his identity on-air, judge Ken Jeong stormed offstage, saying, “I’m done.”
He spoke at a Trump campaign rally in October 24 on a bill that also included Hulk Hogan, Dr. Phil and Elon Musk.
