Peacock Developing ‘Summer People’ Drama From Emily Goldwyn & Bill Krebs
EXCLUSIVE: Peacock has put in development Summer People, a drama from Emily Goldwyn (SMILF, Emily in Paris), Bill Krebs (Good Girls, Grosse Pointe Garden Society) and Universal Television.
Summer People follows three elite families and their nannies during a summer following a shocking tragedy. What everyone calls an accident, however, might just be murder. One nanny will try to get to the bottom of it before all the partying, power and privilege corrupts her.
Goldwyn and Krebs will serve as executive producers. Goldwyn will write the pilot script. If the project is picked up to series, Krebs will serve as showrunner and writer along with Goldwyn.
Goldwyn served as writer and supervising producer on Emily in Paris, and writer on SMILF and Awkwafina is Nora From Queens, among others. Goldwyn is repped by UTA, Entertainment 360 and Hansen Jacobson Teller.

Summer People is outside of Krebs’ longtime collaboration with Jenna Bans, which continues. He most recently co-created and served as co-showrunner with Bans on Grosse Pointe Garden Society, which aired for one season on NBC. Before that, he served as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Bans on all four seasons of her NBC series Good Girls. Krebs’ additional writing/producing credits include Red Band Society, Franklin & Bash and Workaholics. He is repped by UTA and Entertainment 360.
