Olly Murs cheered on in charity challenge

Olly Murs made a pit stop in Warwickshire on day three of his five-day endurance challenge to raise money for charity.

The 41-year-old is running, cycling and rowing between Manchester and London, to raise money for children's charity Unicef.

As part of his 400km (250-mile) Into The Unknown Challenge, the singer and presenter was cheered by a crowd of people waiting outside The Royal Oak pub in Nuneaton on Wednesday.

"My legs, they just feel like trunks, tree trunks," he told the BBC. "It's even hard to talk to be honest, that was a really hard hill coming up here."

The singer-songwriter-turned-TV personality, who rose to fame with hits including Troublemaker and Dance With Me Tonight, said he was "knackered" after completing 75 miles of the challenge on Wednesday.

"I'm doing it for Unicef Soccer Aid, you know there's family and kids around the world that need our help and... we get to live in this beautiful country, other people unfortunately don't, and they're refugees or they're in different countries," he said.

"I just want kids to play safe, and I'm a dad myself so it means a lot this, and you know I'm putting my body on the line at the moment."

Murs, who is from Essex, said it was "amazing" to have raised £200,000 so far.

"That saddle was not very comfortable," he added.

"I jarred my knee earlier so i'm going to have to go and get that checked out."

He said: "I'll try my best, anything for Soccer Aid."
