Now that Subnautica 2 is out, Valve's own Deadlock tops Steam's most wishlisted chart
It's a big day for people who don't suffer from thalassophobia, as Subnautica 2 just launched into early access on Steam. Considering the five million wishlists on the store, it's safe to say players were giddy to dive in, and now that the aquatic survival game is out, Valve's Deadlock can get comfortable back at number one on the wishlist chart.
For some time, Subnautica 2 sat on the top spot of Steam's top wishlists, taunting everything else below it. Particularly Deadlock, the mysterious new multiplayer shooter from Valve that's been invite-only since 2024.

An impressive aspect of Subnautica's numbers is that it's one of only two games that actually had a definitive release window or date, the other being Forza Horizon 6. The upcoming racer is sitting steady in third, not bad when you see it's holding off Light No Fire and the new Fable.
Those two are among Ark 2, Kingmakers, Blight: Survival, and Witchbrook on the games front, all listed as either coming soon or simply "to be announced." The tenth entry is currently reserved for a piece of hardware known as the Steam Machine. Y'know, Valve's entry into the home console space - it's got a lot of people's attention, as it turns out.
Not as many as Subnautica 2, nor as Deadlock. Once Forza Horizon 6 comes out, the question becomes what the next wishlist-heavy release will be. We still have eight days to make it Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Come on, everyone, for Gotham.
