On the heels of its in Competition debut at Cannes, where it received a seven-minute standing ovation, Neon has released the official teaser for Na Hong-jin‘s buzzy sci-fi title, Hope, which will bow in theaters this fall.

The just over minute-and-a-half first look previews a desolate, bloodied and disordered street, lined with wrecked cars and abandoned buildings. As the eerie, synth-forward and siren-infused score picks up, viewers get a glimpse at the aliens terrorizing a South Korean town.

Per the official synopsis: “In Hope Harbor, a remote village near the Demilitarized Zone, police chief Bum-seok receives alarming news from local youths that a tiger has appeared. As the village erupts into panic, Bum-seok is forced to confront a reality beyond belief.”
