‘Nemesis’ Gains Traction On Netflix As Duffers-Produced ‘The Boroughs’ Debuts At No. 2
Nemesis continued gaining traction on Netflix last week, up nearly 61% from its opening to rake in 11.4M views from May 18 to 24.
The series, from Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole, easily took over the streamer’s weekly English TV charts soaring past its competition. That competition included the Duffer Brothers–produced The Boroughs, which debuted May 21.
The series, Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, managed second place on the list and a modest 5.6M views. That is a bit underwhelming for the show’s debut weekend, particularly since it comes just a few months on the heels of the Duffers’ Stranger Things 5. However, it is the second Duffers-produced paranormal series to launch this year following Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, so it could signal a but of audience fatigue. Time will tell as the series will very likely continue to generate enough of an audience to remain somewhere on the Top 10 for a few weeks.
Elsewhere in TV, the docuseries Worst Ex Ever snagged the No. 3 spot with 3.6M views, and and The Roast of Kevin Hart was in fourth with 3.1M views. Man on Fire remained at No. 5, rounding out the top of the list with 3M views. That’s down from 5.5M views the week prior.
