Nauseda hopes for rapid launch of joint military production with Ukraine
According to Ukrinform, he stated this to journalists on Tuesday at the Daimex Baltic 2026 defense industry conference in Vilnius, citing LRT.
"We are ready and extremely interested in using the latest Ukrainian technologies and developing joint production… We want the excellent agreements we signed earlier to be implemented in practice so that we can provide concrete examples of how all of this works," Nausėda said.
It is noted that Nausėda also expressed expectations for a rapid transition to practical action during a Monday meeting with the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, who visited Lithuania.

Nausėda stressed that Lithuania supports and will continue to support Ukraine in all areas.
According to the publication, around 2,000 participants and business representatives from 30 countries gathered for the Daimex Baltic conference, which began Tuesday in Vilnius. Four memorandums of cooperation between representatives of Lithuania's defense sector and foreign companies and organizations are expected to be signed during the event.
According to Nausėda, Lithuania is an attractive destination for defense industry investment because it not only provides tax incentives and simplifies bureaucratic procedures for this specialized business sector, but also recognizes the importance of national security: "Defense has received the highest state priority."
As Ukrinform previously reported, Ukraine's Presidential Office confirmed that its head, Kyrylo Budanov, is visiting Lithuania.
