Mass Effect Trilogy Director Says AI Is "Creatively Soulless"

Let's start this one off with several hyperlinks. Every major studio in the gaming industry is now using generative AI at least in some capacity. Community backlash only goes so far when even Capcom's deploying gen AI for certain tasks now. At least there's weird little nuggets of nice news to offset the ick factor—like new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma putting in a kill order on Copilot for console. (Sharma's public reception is enjoying something of a honeymoon phase among dyed-in-the-wool Xbox fandom, but I genuinely do hope she helps to reverse the company's fortunes.)
