Leaker suggests seven new features coming to iPhone 20 – but read with care

Leaker Instant Digital has a decent track record when it comes to iPhones, but their latest post may need to be treated with a certain amount of caution.

They list seven new features we might expect from the 20th anniversary model, but it may be more of a wish list than a leak …

The rumor mill for the 20th anniversary iPhone has been heating up of late. The end of last month saw a report on how the company may get close to the look of the long-term goal of a single slab of glass while remaining within the realms of manufacturing reality.

Instead of the display wrapping completely around all four edges, Ice Universe suggested that we could expect a relatively subtle curvature combined with a clever optical illusion.

A few days later came an investment note suggesting that the 20th anniversary design will not be a standalone model like the iPhone X, but rather a design implemented in the iPhone 20 Pro and Pro Max models.

Instant Digital has now posted a list of “jaw-dropping features” we might see in the model.

• Solid-state buttons with haptic feedback
• Under-display Face ID
• Under-display front-facing camera
• Under-display speaker
• Support for reverse wireless charging
• Ultra-scratch-resistant display
• A 6000 mAh battery

However, it’s worth noting that these are features which have long been expected for future iPhones, with Apple patents describing them. Most have previously been rumoured for earlier iPhone models. Given the wording of Instant Digital’s post, this reads more like a wish-list than a leak (bold is our emphasis).

While I’m absolutely sure Apple would love to include each of these features, and the 20th anniversary model would be a great time to do it, treat this post with a great deal of caution.
