Laura Benanti & Tituss Burgess To Host Tony Awards Live Pre-Show ‘Act One’
Laura Benanti and Tituss Burgess will host The Tony Awards: Act One, the live pre-show on Pluto TV that kicks off Broadway‘s big Tony night next month.
Act One will be available to viewers for free on Pluto TV on Sunday, June 7, at 6:35-8 p.m. ET/3:35-5 p.m. PT immediately preceding the Tony Awards ceremony on CBS.
Benanti is a Tony winner (Gypsy) and five-time nominee, while Burgess is a six-time Emmy and SAG-nominated actor, musician, and writer who last year starred on Broadway as Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary!
Viewers can access Act One on their smart TV, streaming device, mobile app or online by going to Pluto TV and clicking on the “Live Music” channel, found within the Entertainment category on the service.

Immediately following Act One, the 79th Annual Tony Awards will broadcast live to both coasts from 8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. PT on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. This year’s show, hosted by Pink, will return to Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The Tony Awards are produced in collaboration with Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League. Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall, and Jack Sussman are
Executive Producers of this year’s show. Kapoor and Levine Hall will also serve as Co-Showrunners. Patrick Menton and Rob Paine will Co-Executive Produce, with Menton also serving as Head of Talent.
