Iran’s foreign minister expected in Pakistan, raising hopes for talks with US
Abbas Araghchi will arrive with a small team, a source says, with US security teams reportedly already in Islamabad

According to a source in Islamabad and Pakistan’s state broadcaster, Araghchi will travel with a “small team”, and was due to arrive by Friday night, Pakistan time.
Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency also reported that the top Iranian diplomat was planning a series of visits to Islamabad, Muscat and Moscow in the following days.

Araghchi has frequently appeared on international and US media during the conflict with the United States and Israel to present Iran’s position.
