IAEA discovers equipment malfunction at ZNPP following drone attack
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on the agency’s page on the social media platform X.
It is noted that the IAEA team visited the ECRL laboratory on Tuesday, May 5, one day after the plant reported a drone attack.
“Team observed damage to some of the lab’s meteorological monitoring equipment, which is no longer operational,” the post states.
It also notes that IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi has reiterated his call for maximum military restraint around all nuclear facilities to avoid safety risks.

The IAEA team currently at the ZNPP has requested permission to access and inspect the ECRL.
