How to solve The Path of Riddles in Diablo 4
The Path of Riddles in Diablo 4 is a quest that stays true to its name, serving up a series of puzzles to solve so you can continue progressing through the Labyrinthine Grove. Follow our guide to the Diablo 4 Path of Riddles answers and you won't get stuck.
Have you been fishing in Diablo 4 yet? We've got the locations of all of the fish you need to complete the Diablo 4 Favor for a Favor and Diablo 4 The One That Got Away quests.
The Path of Riddles first answer
The first puzzle you'll discover while exploring Labyrinthine Grove is inscribed on a Time-Worn Statue, and when you inspect it you'll find the riddle "I see all, yet know nothing. All of Sanctuary is beneath me. What am I?" To solve this (and the subsequent riddles) you need to give your answer by lighting one of the nearby braziers, so to get things started interact with the Flame of the Mother to proceed and reveal a portal to the next area.

As you progress further through this location, you'll encounter a second Time-Worn Statue. Interact with it to reveal the next riddle you need to solve, which is "Sometimes I am the light that casts a shadow. Sometimes I am the shadow. Which one am I really?" The answer to this one feels like a bit of a cop out, but find the brazier to the right for the Flame of Both and light it to move on to the next rift.
Note that in the next area there is another Time-Worn Statue, but there is only one brasier for the answer to the 'riddle' it presents, so light the Flame of Fate and pass through to the third puzzle.
The Path of Riddles third answer
The third and final riddle is actually discovered and read out by Lorath within the Forgotten Hideaway, stating "Power born of Hell begets Corruption." If you think this sounds familiar then you're right, as it's identical to the one you answered previously to solve Rathma's puzzle in Diablo 4 during the A Blade's Weight quest! Check the braziers for translations of the three capitalized words in the inscription – Dunaxys (Power), Abythos (Hell), and Coruphar (Corruption) – then stand on the floor panels next to them to light them in the following order:
- Dunaxys (Power)
- Abythos (Hell)
- Coruphar (Corruption)
With this final hurdle cleared, you can secure the Hilt of Lilith's Blade and complete The Path of Riddles in Diablo 4 – after a final battle outside with the Hateborn Brute.
