To complete the pick up what your critter finds task for the Elements of Nature Star Path duty, you need to collect 25 items that are found by your Companions while exploring the village in DDV. Only creatures you have a strong bond with have a chance of finding extra goodies for you, so to even have a shot at tackling this quest, you must increase your relationship with the critter to level four.

It's best to use two critters who are at level four or higher to work through this mission more quickly, since you can have up to two Companions equipped at once. Be sure they specialize in the same role, though, otherwise you won't get the maximum drops here.

Once you do have two critters at the right level, get to work on whatever role they can help you with. As you work, they'll sometimes find bonus goodies for you. They'll also pick these items up themselves whenever they find them, so you don't need to put in any extra work to actually grab them. All bonus items they find and grab automatically count for your progress in this Star Path event quest.

The specific items found by different critters vary, so depending on what you're hoping to get, you'll want to call upon different creatures for this task. Here's a breakdown of what each type of animal helps with.

You get 25 Tokens for finishing this task in the event. It's an okay prize, but not nearly enough to claim most of the rewards in the Star Path. To earn more, you'll need to check off some additional quests, like hanging out with one who sees the colors of the wind, planting an enriching orange squash, and cooking with Pumpkin or Corn.
