How to catch items from Golden Fishing Spots to reduce Fishstick’s supply in Fortnite Chapter 7, season 2

Fishing out of gold spot in fortnite

Squibbly's got a collection of important quests for you to tackle, all of which grant a solid amount of XP to help you progress through the battle pass in Fortnite. One of his trickier tasks asks you to catch items from Golden Fishing Spots to reduce Fishstick's supply.

Fishing isn't an activity you likely perform all that often while traversing around the island, and Golden Fishing Spots are quite rare, making this mission a fairly daunting one to get done. You won't want to skip it, though, as there's the potential for some solid loot drops upon completing this quest, so here's how to catch items from Golden Fishing Spots to reduce Fishstick's supply in Fortnite.

Golden Fishing Spots have a chance of spawning anywhere where there's fishable water around the Chapter Seven, season two map. How easy or difficult they are to find mostly comes down to luck, as there's no way to guarantee that they appear. You can increase your chances of encountering one, though, as some areas have a lot more fishing spots than others.

By far the best spot to visit for this mission is Squibbly Shores, as this coastal area is surrounded by fishable water. Every time I've visited this spot, I've found at least one Golden Fishing Spot somewhere in the water nearby. This POI is also massive and has plenty of barrels loaded up with fishing rods, which means there's lots of room to go fishing without being disturbed by enemy players. You can find this location near the very west end of the map.

If you'd rather try your luck elsewhere, two other good spots to check are the ship located south of New Sanctuary or the small pier south of Sus Studios. These two spots are smaller and aren't main POIs marked by name on the map, so they're generally quite empty, potentially making this mission easier if you are having issues with enemy players over at Squibbly Shores. Because they are smaller, though, the odds of finding a golden fishing spot are also lower since there's less fishable water to search for them.

Regardless of where you want to go hunting for Golden Fishing Spots, it's a good idea to do so straight from the battle bus. Golden Fishing Spots disappear after a player claims all loot from them, so if other players beat you to the task, you may have a tough time finding them. As each round progresses, the odds of other players clearing them go up, and your shot of coming across one goes down.

To complete the catch items from Golden Fishing Spots to reduce Fishstick's supply quest, you need to obtain a total of three items from Golden Fishing Spots around the island. Any items you catch from these special pools count for the quest, whether they be fish or a useful weapon, so just keep fishing until you manage to catch a total of three goodies.

If you want a break from the standard Battle Royale experience after completing this mission, consider switching over to Star Wars games to complete the Unleash the Force quest series to earn freebies. Some of the tricky missions you'll face include using the Rebirth Station to Rebirth one time in Droid Tycoon and claiming three Capture Points in Galactic Siege.
