Here’s everything new Apple TV has coming in June

Apple TV kicks off June with several strong series already airing, like Widow’s Bay and Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed. But the new month will bring another high-profile original series, Cape Fear, plus two returning shows and possibly a long-delayed project. Here’s everything coming to Apple TV in June.

Cape Fear

  • When: June 5
  • What: TV Show
  • Genre: Horror-Thriller

Inspired by the 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg, a storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson) when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance.

Sugar (season 2)

  • When: June 19
  • What: TV Show
  • Genre: Neo-Noir Mystery

“Sugar” is a contemporary, unique take on one of the most popular and significant genres in literary, motion picture and television history: the private detective story. Academy Award nominee Colin Farrell stars as John Sugar, an American private investigator on the heels of the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the beloved granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to determine what happened to Olivia, he will also unearth Siegel family secrets; some very recent, others long-buried.

Camp Snoopy (season 2)

  • When: June 26
  • What: TV Show
  • Genre: Kids & Family

Snoopy and the Beagle Scouts are looking forward to carefree time in the majestic landscape of Camp Spring Lake. Along with Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang, join Snoopy and the birds as they hike, swim and leap their way through another round of fun and adventure in the Great Outdoors! This summer at Camp Snoopy, search for the elusive hedge toad, build towering sandcastles and debate the merits of hot dogs versus hamburgers. Season two is executive produced by Paige Braddock, Chris Bracco, Rob Boutilier, Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts and Logan McPherson.

Wildcard: The Savant

The Savant is another premiere that’s very possible in June, though nothing has been announced.

Apple’s Jessica Chastain thriller was originally set to arrive last September, then got delayed shortly before release. Last month, Chastain indicated that a release was still happening. And Variety reported that July was the target date, per its sources.

However, a slightly earlier premiere could happen because Apple’s June slate is lighter than usual, while July is already packed. It’s very rare for Apple to only have three premieres in a month, as the June calendar currently shows. That indicates the company could add The Savant to its schedule with minimal advance notice, just as it did with another recently delayed show: The Hunt.

New episodes: Widow’s Bay, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, and more

June will also bring new episodes for a variety of currently airing Apple TV series, including:
