‘Harry Potter’ Crossover: Jason Isaacs Embraces Lox Pratt, The New Draco Malfoy
Stars of the new Harry Potter series were out in force at the BAFTA TV Awards, with the red carpet producing an encounter that will please fans of J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world.
In the build-up to the ceremony in London, Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, embraced Lox Pratt, who plays Draco Malfoy in HBO‘s upcoming series, replacing Tom Felton.
Isaacs’ character will be depicted by Johnny Flynn in the HBO show. In a post on X/Twitter last year, the actor praised his successor.
“A fantastic actor, a lovely man and, irritatingly, a rather brilliant musician too. Couldn’t have handed the snake-topped baton on to anyone better,” Isaacs said.

Later in the evening, Paapa Essiedu, who is playing Severus Snape in the Potter series, and Nick Frost, who is Rubeus Hagrid, presented the award for Supporting Actress to Adolescence star Christine Tremarco. They couldn’t resist a bit of fun as they introduced the nominees.
Essiedu decided that he would continue throughout the introduction to refer to Frost as “Hagrid” rather than by his real name.
“Some truly exceptional performances, let’s take a look at the nominees Hagrid,” he said as he turned to his co-star. “My name is Nick,” the Hot Fuzz comic actor replied, “I sat next to you at the friggin’ readthrough.”
